We are situated on the edge of Margon, a small historic wine village with its own chateau, which can be seen from the villa, there is a bar and restaurant in the village.

Walk out the back gate and you are immediately in the vineyards with gorgeous views and walks.

Margon is between the coast at Cap d'Agde and the foothills of the Cevennes . The Haut Languedoc National Park or the beaches of the Mediterranean are a short drive away.

However you might prefer to spend a relaxing holiday in the garden sunbathing by the pool winding down and enjoying the peaceful surroundings.

The main room, kitchen and one bedroom open on to the south facing terrace. From the terrace there are views over the surrounding countryside and the chateau in the village. There is a second terrace outside the front door which has shade until it catches the late evening sun.

The 10x4 metres salt water pool was new in 2005.
For winter lets there is an open log fireplace.

1.5 miles away is Roujan a larger village with 2 bakers, 2 butchers, small supermarket, bank, bars etc.

1 Double, 1 Twin can be a double. 2 Family Bedrooms. One family room sleeps 3, the other is the mezzanine it will sleep 2. There is also a rather nice bench bed in the sitting room which can be a single or double bed. A cot is available.

2 Bathrooms, 1 Separate WC. Both bathrooms have a shower and a toilet. One also has a bath.

Kitchen:

 

Cooker, Hob, Microwave, Fridge, Freezer, Dishwasher, Washing Machine, Iron. The kitchen is well equipped with cooking utensils, bowls, serving dishes cutlery etc. The oven is electric and there is a new calor gas hob. Washing machine and second fridge are in the utility room.

General:

 

Real Fire, Central Heating, Telephone, House Linen. Logs for the fire are provided for winter lets, the open fire is gorgeous in the winter. All bed linen, towels and pool towels are provided. Use of telephone must be requested before arrival.

Dining:

 

Seating for 10. All china and glass is of a high standard. There are two large dining tables one indoors and one on the terrace and two round tables with umbrellas in the garden for lunch in the shade with wine.

Entertainment:

 

Terrestrial TV, Satellite TV, Radio, CD System, Board Games. DVD and CD player with selection of CDs. Plenty of English books and board games. Also pool toys, balls bats and 2 bikes. ADSL internet connection available by arrangement before arrival.

Outside:

 

Private Pool, Terrace, Garden, BBQ, Parking, Garden Furniture. The garden is 3500sq m (nearly an acre) with plenty of trees and shady spots. The new salt water pool is 10x4 mtrs with a large plage. It is fully automatic with a power driven safety security cover.

There is something in the area for everybody.

Beautiful scenery, historic market towns, such as Pezenas 7mls away, with narrow streets, restaurants, bars, arts and crafts shops, cultural events and a fabulous Saturday market.

Walks in the vineyards, the hills or along the Canal du Midi.

Wine tasting in the many Domaines.

Long sandy beaches for the children, the beach between Agde and Sete is 5 miles long.
Water sports on the Med, on the Lac de Salagou 1/2 hour drive into the hills or kayaking on the River Orb.

At Cap d'Agde (20 mls) there is a Giant 'Aqualand' Waterpark, the harbour with boat trips, watersports, golf, go-karting, also a casino, discos and nightclubs if you really want a night on the town.

Bouzique on the Bassin de Thau is world famous for oysters and fabulous fresh fish and seafood is available at many restaurants washed down with a bottle of cold local Picpoul wine.
